Question: Need some one opinion on depression?

I have Major depression that is causing emotion numbness. been having the problem for a month well now after taking Wellbutrin I would have two panic attacks a day now i feel dream like. Dissociative is the term I am wondering if I get the depression and anxiety under control my feeling will come back and then the dream like feeling will fade. Does anybody agree with me and has anybody with depression felt like I do in a dream like state before and it not going to become a major disorder for me?

You need some prescrip meds. Try Zoloft... and go see a counselor

You poor baby. please get help. from a doctor. or a therapist. u need someone to vent with. its not your fault ur depressed. please get better. and know that u shouldnt take your life when ur in ur worst state of mind.. u need medicated and someone to talk to 24/ 7. best of luck. <3

I am NOT a doctor. Wellbutrin is a dopamine derivative that is less drug intrusive IMHO than most other depression type drugs. Your body can build a tolerance to it where it is no longer is effective. What is your current dosage? For an adult male, the maximum dose per day is 300mg. You may be tolerant, your dose is too low or you need to have your med program re-evaluated. Good luck. (P.S. Wellbutrin can take 3 to 4 weeks for it to take effect) (P.P.S. Wellbutrin can upset your stomach, do not chew. Take with food and if taking two pills, split the dose into A.M. and P.M.)

Yeah, I have major depression too and have felt like that. I felt like my life was all one long fuzzy dream. I'd hear my favorite song on the radio and not even care. It was hard to care about anything. It was happening because I was on too much celexa. You have to talk to the person who prescribed the wellbutrin and describe what's going on and tell them you don't want to feel like this. That's what I did and they lowered my dosage and I felt much better. Getting on the right kind and amount of medication is a process of trial and error. It took at least two years for me. But when you are you will start feeling better and the depression/ dream state will just be a memory. Good luck.
