Try non-medication solutions first. Go for a walk, make a list of 20 things you are thankful for today, exercise, watch a funny movie (I watch Arthur when depressed and laugh every time); volunteer somewhere - I volunteer at the hospital in pediatrics. Just talking with a good friend can help. Find someone who will tell you what you need to hear, not just commiserate. Be with people. Or talk to a professional therapist. If you still need medication, find a doctor who specializes in depression or mental health issues. |
