Never heard of it being used for depression. You're more likely to get benefit from vitamin D3 as most people living in Northern latitudes suffer some form of deficiency in the winter time. Read some of the archived articles at Mercola.com

I drink green tea very often but I dont find it to help depression. Maybe psychologically it can.

I've never ever heard of tea for depression... Googled it and found this crap spam site: healthmad.com/ mental-health/ green-tea-to-combat-depression/ AWFUL! No research, no actual claims, just some empty article he probably outsourced to a third-world country. So I cross-checked with the University of Maryland, who said that green tea can REDUCE lithium, which means if you're on lithium for depression, drinking it will hurt you! umm.edu/ altmed/ articles/ green-tea-000255.htm Green tea for antioxidants? Yes. For depression? No. Take a look at St John's Wort instead...
