The pills don't solve all the problems. and it takes a while for them to take full affect. give them at least a month. talk to your dr and see what they suggest. there are so many different types of medication for depression. there is a chance you just haven't found the right one. but like i said...they don't solve all of the problems. if you feel down now, just think how down you could be if you didn't have the meds.

I have it too. The pills take 4-6 weeks to start working. Stay on them and good luck, Kitty

Mine is usually because i have to much time on my hands & am spending money on stuff I dont need, then the bills piling up & i kick myself again & get depressed. Get organized-give stuff you dont need away or ebay it, budget-make sure bills are paid in advance & have a set splurge amount & get into a routine add exercise to it which al requires will power. Take care

Studies suggest that psychological counselling works just as well as antidepressant medication on most patients with uncomplicated depression. No side effects! If you want to stay on the meds, do try counselling as that will increase your chances of recovering from the depression. Also try exercise, relaxation techniques, a healthy diet and journaling.

Hi there my friend, I’ll try and give some advice without getting too technical but you know the deal- Over 19 million people in the United States suffer from depression. There are many forms of Depression; there are many causes that trigger your depression. I know I get depress because I'm an emotional eater. I find myself over eating because of my emotions. That’s a big deal in it’s self! But I tell you the first step in any problem is admitting you need help. I've found a real great Website that breaks all the technical talk down so that I can understand. It gives tons of examples through articles that will open you eyes to Depression and will educate you on your challenges. Enjoy….
